School Dinners
SCHOOL LUNCHES
At Arden, we believe that mealtimes are an essential part of the school day and play a vital role in supporting children’s wellbeing, energy and ability to learn. We know that good food brings people together, and we take great pride in offering school dinners that are not only healthy and nourishing but genuinely delicious.
Our school dinners are incredible and our cooks are simply amazing! Their care, creativity and passion shine through in every meal they prepare. In fact, we often receive visitors who come to see our kitchen in action and enjoy an Arden Family Lunch for themselves. We are always delighted to welcome anyone who would like to experience this special part of our school community, so please do get in touch if you would like to join us for lunch.
School Food Policy
We recognise the powerful connection between a healthy diet and a child’s ability to learn. We are committed to promoting healthy eating across the whole school and wider community, making sure everyone understands the value of nutritious food and drink in supporting learning, wellbeing and lifelong habits.
School LUNCHES
Our meals are provided by Dolce, a school meals company with a convenient online ordering system. Families can order meals in advance from home, ensuring every child receives their preferred choice from the daily menu.
Parents set up a Direct Debit through their School Grid account. A statement is issued two weeks before payment is taken, showing exactly which meals your child has enjoyed. You can log in at any time to view menus, check nutritional information or place orders together with your child. Payments can also be made online using credit or debit cards.
Links to our meal provider and online ordering system can be found below.
School meals cost £2.25 per day or £11.25 per week.
Please inform the school if your child has any allergies or specific nutritional requirements so we can ensure their needs are fully supported.
Lunchtime Supervision
During lunch, children are cared for by our dedicated Midday Assistants. All staff follow the school’s behaviour policy, and we expect every child to be respectful and courteous towards others, creating a calm and happy lunchtime environment.
Morning Break
Children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 receive a daily healthy snack through the Fruit in Schools scheme.
Key Stage 2 children may bring a healthy snack from home. We kindly ask that crisps, chocolate bars and sweets are not sent into school as part of morning snacks or packed lunches.
