School Association
Arden School Association
Charity number 1154782
The School Association exists primarily to raise funds which are reinvested into goods and services which will enhance our children’s education. We also organise and run pupil-centred events such as the school discos and fairs.
ASA is run by a team of volunteers and it is much more than just fundraising. It is a partnership between parents, carers and teachers all working to support everyone in the school community; it provides closer links between home and school.
Everybody is welcome at ASA meetings and can do as much or as little as they are able and good ideas are always needed for new and exciting ways to raise money. We have recently started to hold evening meetings via conference calls to organise events which has proved popular, enabling parents to be involved but not having to worry about childcare for meetings. All spend is discussed and agreed at official School Association meetings and members have a say in what funds are spent on.
Over the years the ASA has run the following events;
Christmas Cards Christmas Fair Christmas Disco
Pantomime & Raffle Mother’s Day Gift Easter Egg Raffle
Father’s Day Gift Summer Fair Ice pops, cakes and Ice cream Stalls
Summer Disco Leavers Hoodies Plant Sale
The School Association is extremely conscious of Arden’s school ethos and values and we try very hard to respect this when organising and planning events.
Over the last three years the ASA has raised over £16,000 and provided;
New playground markings Pantomimes
Book bags for new starters in Reception Maths workshops
IPads Interactive whiteboards
Computer equipment for KS1 Trips
Successful events are achieved through the kind help and support of parents and volunteers before and during events.
